Since 1987 we had been running successfully a winery in South-Western Germany, in the region of Palatinate, following from the beginning the rules of organic agriculture. The fondness for Spanish wines, curiosity and some adventurous spirit led me to Spain. In 1998 I founded Bodegas Palmera KG as manager and partner. Since then I've been making organic wines in the South, too.

The grapes of Bodegas Palmera grow on a high plain in the wine-region of Utiel-Requena, 75 km West of Valencia. Our vines occupy the high sites ("alto") of Utiel at about 780 metres. It's a sunny and dry place but not too hot.
